Miller Maxwell is assisting an equities brokerage expanding their UI team, working from their central London headquarters. The successful Frontend Software Developer will play a pivotal role in the development of their core equities platform used by front office traders across their global business. As a Frontend Software Engineer, you will be part of a skilled team defining and building dashboards and UIs utilised by users across the business, from front to back-end. The electronic trading platform facilitates the trading of billions of dollars. You will join a highly experienced software engineering team with members based in Chicago, Hong Kong, and London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design and development of new software and new products.
- Build and adapt JavaScript libraries for high-performance browser usage.
- Develop and maintain applications.
- Design and develop UIs for clients' internally used products.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business.
- Suggest and implement new ideas into the code base.
Requirements:
- A degree in a STEM-related subject.
- At least 5 years of commercial frontend development experience.
- Experience with JavaScript, ideally with React. Node experience is highly desirable.
- Proven experience building robust high volume software, web and software applications.
