About AHJ Limited

Responsibilities

As a Catastrophe Modeller, you’ll focus on catastrophe and property portfolio modelling, working with licensed software including RMS RiskModeller, RMS Risklink, AIR Touchstone, and Spatial Key, as well as in‑house applications.

You will collaborate with your team to analyse client portfolios, present findings, and develop innovative solutions to maintain and grow our business.

Business Skills

  • Produce high‑quality written reports and deliver engaging presentations tailored to different audiences.
  • Provide technical coaching and training to colleagues, enhancing team capabilities.
  • Prioritise tasks effectively to ensure efficient workflow and alignment with team objectives.
  • Exhibit strong organisational skills to manage projects and coordinate multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Technical Knowledge

  • Utilise advanced computer literacy and strong analytical tools to perform detailed modelling and analysis.
  • Apply expertise as an advanced user of vendor catastrophe models to support portfolio evaluation.
  • Leverage advanced knowledge of SQL and Excel to manipulate and interpret data effectively.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in GIS and Python, contributing to innovative solutions (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues to foster collaboration and teamwork.
  • Approach tasks with organisation and the ability to multitask efficiently, ensuring priorities are managed effectively.
  • Exhibit conscientiousness and meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Deliver impactful presentations and communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members.
  • Meet deadlines reliably and demonstrate flexibility to work additional hours when required.
