The team supports and enhances all technology-based services to Miller with the aim of supporting and extending the business’ service range and excellence. Activities are carried out and managed against the Corporate Business Plan and Board/Business Unit priorities.
The Workday System Owner is responsible for the strategic oversight, delivery, and continuous improvement of the Workday HCM and/or Finance system. Partnering with business leaders, the role ensures the system aligns with organisational priorities and evolving needs. The position leads system governance, roadmap planning, and release management; oversees operational support and enhancements; and ensures data integrity, security, and regulatory compliance. Accountable for documentation, team capability development, and service quality, the System Owner balances day to day operations with long term optimisation and innovation.
Role Responsibilities
- Overall ownership for the ongoing design, deployment, and maintenance of the Workday HCM and Finance system
- Serve as a strong consultative partner to business and functional leaders to continuously improve service delivery
- Lead governance process, roadmapping exercises, and cross-functional resource planning
- Drive the deployment of feature releases and system maintenance, ensuring client requirements are met
- Evaluate feasibility of system modifications and enhancements
- Lead the Workday product team (and external partner), ensuring the balance of day-to-day systems support with strategic enhancements and projects
- Overall accountability for data governance, security and compliance
- Ensure up-to-date documentation of system functions, processes, and capabilities
- Develop and promote continuous learning within the support team
