We are looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Commercial Team in our North-East region. The main purpose of the role is to fulfil Senior Surveying commercial duties on a single or a number of projects within Miller Homes Limited.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Procurement of sub-contract trades and reconciliation of material purchase orders placed by Buyers
- Consolidation and analysis of monthly commercial reports
- Liaising with the finance teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of live developments is maintained
- Mentoring of Junior team members
- Surveying skills gained with a recognised house builder or within the wider construction sector with the ability to work to set monthly reporting timescales.
- Knowledge and experience with software systems used within a Commercial role (Cognos/Anaplan and JDE desirable)
- Must be capable of being a good team player and be able to interact with other departments
- Organised and able to manage multiple projects and demands on workload at any one time
- Competitive basic salary
- Company car or car allowance of £5,500
- 26 days annual leave + public holidays + your birthday off
