We are looking to recruit a Production Director to join our Walker Timber team. The role of the Production Director is to manage the production function ensuring that products are consistently delivered on time, within budget and to specification. You will also ensure the health, safety and welfare of employees, subcontractors and members of the public. Membership of Walker Timber Board of Directors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Oversight of all Production Divisions - Timber Frame, Truss and Timber Distribution
- Health & Safety of all employees engaged in production and logistics operations
- Oversight of manpower resources, skills, training, attendance & general compliance with Company employment policies in conjunction with HR department
- Participation with co-directors and senior managers in the setting and achievement of strategic corporate goals for the Walker Timber business within the Miller Homes Group
- Good track record of leading Production Teams in a similar environment
- Understanding of traditional and modern timber frame manufacturing techniques including automated production lines.
- A natural leader with driving ambition and the self-confidence and natural propensity to empower and develop both teams and team members
- An appreciation of client expectations of an excellent customer service experience and an ability to maintain control and ownership of difficult issues and relationships
