The role can be based either at our South Midlands (Northampton) or East Midlands (Derby) office.
The Senior Planner will support colleagues with providing planning advice to the Regional team(s) to assist with the coordination and scheduling of Miller Homes projects. Please note, we will consider applications from ambitious, high-performing Planners too.
Responsibilities- Prepare, or assist with the preparation of, planning appraisals for new land opportunities.
- Assist with the preparation of planning strategies for newly acquired and existing sites.
- Work with the wider team to develop high quality, well justified development proposals.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key external stakeholders including Local Planning Authorities, planning consultants and lawyers.
- Experience within a Planning role is essential.
- Qualified in planning to HND, or preferably degree, level or through equivalent experience.
- Able to build relationships across the organisation to ensure communication between project stakeholders.
- To have a sound knowledge and understanding of the planning process.
