We are looking to recruit a Junior Land Manager to join our expanding South West Land team based in Bristol. Reporting into the Associate Land Director, this Junior Land Manager will identify, evaluate and secure land opportunities that meet, or exceed, the business needs for the Region and Area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identification of land opportunities, both on and off market, that fit the company’s requirements (as amended from time to time)
  • Assess potential land opportunities, including completion and/or assessment of appraisals to establish appropriate land values
  • Processing of opportunities to prepare for offers to be made in consultation with internal colleagues and external parties, where relevant
  • Maintain formal reporting procedures as required/directed within the business.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience of land acquisition, preferably gained in a private house building environment
  • Numerate and conversant with Land Appraisal systems, budgets etc.
  • Able to work on own or as part of a multi-disciplined team
  • Knowledge of legal, technical and planning matters related to the land acquisition process
