Main Function: To carry out multi-trade remedial tasks in occupied/unoccupied properties in a safe, resourceful and workmanlike manner, and uphold the core values of the Miller Homes business in relation to excellent levels of Customer Service.
Key Functional Areas:
- Ensure the customer service vehicle is racked out appropriately and kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Check the vehicle weekly for compliance with Health & Safety statutes and common road law.
- Maintain a smart appearance and wear relevant footwear and protection appropriate to the task assigned.
- Carry ID at all times and show upon request.
- Liaise directly with the Central Office Hub to provide status reports of ongoing and completed tasks.
- Obtain signed satisfaction/completion notifications from customers following completion of remedial tasks, where possible.
- Arrive promptly at the place of work and advise line manager of any specific problems that may impact on this.
- Carry out work diligently and safely in line with the company SH&E Management System.
- Consult and review the Miller Homes Customer Service Manual to ensure operating in accordance with MH processes and procedures.
Key Capabilities Required:
- Multi-skilled with sound knowledge of joinery, general labouring, bricklaying, plaster patching, painting and decorating, glazed tiling.
- Ability to understand drawings and assemble/re-assemble components.
- Some knowledge of M&E and current legislation.
- P.C literate with a basic understanding of NHBC standards and construction techniques.
- Proficient in first aid to a minimum basic level and scaffold awareness.
- Cherry picker certification required.
- Effective communication skills with internal and external customers.
- Sound and courteous driver, preferably with a clean license.

- Do not confront or antagonise any situation with aggressive or irate clients; report immediately to your respective Customer Services Inspector.
