My client, a leading top 100 Law Firm with offices across the UK is looking to recruit Costs Draftsmen, Costs Lawyers and Costs Negotiators to join their high-performing team. You will be providing bespoke costs drafting support to colleagues within the Litigation team. You will be responsible for the management of a bill drafting caseload, ensuring delivery of high-quality bills of costs.
Responsibilities include but are not exclusive to:
- Drafting bills of costs (using CostsMaster drafting software) in both traditional and electronic (Precedent S) format
- Preparing Costs Budgets in form Precedent H in accordance with Departmental requirements/workstreams
- Managing your own caseload dealing with complex matters
You must have a minimum of 12 months experience in a Bill Drafting, Budgeting or negotiating role, proficient in using CostsMaster drafting software to draft bills in both traditional and Precedent S (electronic) format. Qualified lawyer experience is desirable but not essential. You will have a good understanding of the CPR, relevant legislation, case law and costs industry regulations.
Salary £30,000-£65,000 depending on experience.
