Support the delivery of large-scale projects in the Trade Lifecycle Management (TLM) platform covering Cash Equities, Listed Derivatives, and Equity Exotics. This transformational initiative encompasses enhancement of multiple existing internal platforms and development of new greenfield systems.
We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to work closely with the Programme Project Manager, conducting deep-dive analysis on critical programme areas to accelerate delivery and resolve complex problems. This role requires the ability to rapidly context-switch across different workstreams, diving deep into technical and business challenges to drive solutions forward on a priority basis. The candidate will be hands-on with requirements definition, solution design and testing. The candidate must be hands-on, results-oriented and someone who can rapidly context-switch between different problem domains as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct detailed analysis of business processes, system functionality, and technical requirements across the TLM platform.
- Work with technology teams to elaborate high-level requirements into detailed, implementable specifications.
- Bridge the gap between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and technically feasible.
- Challenge and validate requirements to ensure completeness, consistency, and alignment to programme objectives.
- Document functional and non-functional requirements following enterprise standards.
- Define test scenarios and test cases for complex business flows, particularly around integration points.
- Participate in or lead testing activities including System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Analyse test results, identify defects, and work with teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Facilitate workshops and working sessions to drive alignment and decision-making.
- 5+ years experience as a Business Analyst within financial services, with significant time in capital markets.
- Strong knowledge of Equities trading and capital markets, including:
- Cash Equities lifecycle and workflows.
- Listed Derivatives (futures, options).
- Equity Exotic products.
- Trade lifecycle concepts (pre-trade, execution, post-trade, settlement).
- Front-to-back trading processes and controls.
- Previous technical role (developer, data analyst, technical consultant) in capital markets.
