Based in London, the EMEA Specialist Associate candidate will report to the Global Head of Cross-Asset Macro Strategy and work directly with Sector Specialist originators to support and grow Millennium’s corporate access origination and corporate engagement initiative focusing on consumer companies in EMEA.
The ideal candidate must possess solid analytical and communications skills, strong attention to detail and proven ability to follow tasks through to completion. Sector Specialist Associates are expected to develop professionally, work collaboratively across business functions and assume greater responsibility according to ability and progress. Experience in the following is a plus but not required: Equity Research (buy or sell-side), Investment Banking, and/or Investor Relations experience.
Principal Responsibilities:- Support the Global Head of Cross-Asset Macro Strategy to expand Millennium’s corporate access program and direct engagement with companies.
- Create detailed meeting notes for originated meetings with corporates, industry experts and conferences.
- Analyze data from market research databases and various other sources such as public documents, company transcripts, the sell-side and industry experts.
- Develop, update and maintain databases and spreadsheets, including company forecasts and valuations.
- Build relationships and serve as a point of contact/entry with company management teams to request and secure meetings for Millennium’s investment professionals.
- Implement and leverage technology solutions to document and enhance the management of originated corporate access interactions.
- Work alongside Millennium’s Corporate Access Team to deliver a higher level of service to companies, PMs and analysts.
- Assist with the preparation of reports and presentations for strategy sessions with Millennium’s Corporate Access Team.
- Attend events where corporates and investors are present, including IR education events, conferences and trade shows.
- Represent Millennium in a compelling manner and ensure a positive corporate experience and perception.
- Strong knowledge of accounting.
- Strong knowledge of markets and financial analysis.
- Flexibility to work independently and thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong client/customer service orientation with consistent follow through.
