Programme Overview

Lead the delivery coordination of large-scale projects in the Trade Lifecycle Management (TLM) platform covering Cash Equities, Listed Derivatives, and Equity Exotics. This transformational initiative encompasses enhancement of multiple existing internal platforms and development of new greenfield systems.

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Programme Manager to coordinate delivery across multiple technology teams, ensuring alignment, accountability, and successful execution of this critical project in the trade lifecycle management space. This role requires a unique blend of capital markets expertise, technical acumen, and strong programme coordination capabilities to drive this complex, multi-team programme to success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programme Coordination & Delivery Management
  • Coordinate across all internal technology teams to ensure aligned delivery of interdependent components.
  • Ensure each team maintains detailed delivery plans with clear milestones, dependencies, and critical path items.
  • Monitor and track team resourcing, ensuring named individuals are hired according to approved funding.
  • Facilitate regular one-on-one meetings with individual technology teams to review progress, risks, and issues.
  • Chair cross-programme meetings to ensure alignment, resolve dependencies, and drive decision-making.
  • Escalate blockers and facilitate resolution across organizational boundaries.
  • Stakeholder & Governance Management
    • Manage stakeholder engagement strategies for each technology team with their respective business stakeholders.
    • Produce comprehensive programme steering deck materials and executive reporting.
    • Organize and facilitate programme steering committee meetings at business leadership level.
    • Ensure appropriate governance framework is established and followed across all teams.
    • Translate technical progress and issues into business-relevant insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Risk & Issue Management
    • Identify, assess, and track risks across all programme workstreams.
    • Work collaboratively with technology leads to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
    • Facilitate deep-dives on specific problem areas to drive solutions forward.
    • Maintain programme-level risk and issue registers with appropriate escalation.
    • Proactively identify cross-team dependencies and potential conflicts.

    Required Experience & Qualifications

    • 7+ years experience in programme management within financial services.
    • Deep knowledge of Equities trading and capital markets, including: Cash Equities lifecycle and workflows, Listed Derivatives (futures, options), Equity Exotic products, Trade lifecycle concepts (pre-trade, execution, post-trade, settlement).
    • Technical background - ability to understand system architecture, technical design, and have credible conversations with engineering teams.
    • Proven track record managing complex, multi-team technology programmes with interdependencies.
    • Strong stakeholder management at business and technology leadership levels.
    • Collaborative leadership style - able to influence without direct authority.
    • Comfortable working with technology leads, architects, and developers as a peer.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to communicate at all levels - from developers to C-suite executives.
    • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.

    Preferred

    • Previous hands-on technical role (developer, business analyst, technical architect).
    • Experience with front-to-back trade lifecycle management platforms.
    • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile certifications).
