The Operations and Middle Office department is one of the largest groups at Millennium. The Data Operations team resides within the Control function of Ops & MO and is responsible for overseeing the firm’s Global Security Master through various data quality measures. The team is also responsible for managing processes to onboard new securities and attributes.

We are seeking a driven and thorough Reference Data Operations Specialist to join our team. Ideally, you will be a self‑starter with close attention to detail and a strong background in the financial services industry – specifically in Security Master and Reference Data. Principal Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate creation and maintenance of all tradable securities in Millennium’s Global Security Master.
  • Oversee the completion of data quality control checks via system and business validations.
  • Liaise with internal front, middle, and back‑office teams, as well as external data vendors, to resolve ad hoc issues and ensure seamless data operations.
  • Work with Development on requirements, assist in the design and implementation of new processes and workflows to improve Security Master for firm stakeholders.
Corporate Actions Data Management
  • Lead the build‑out of the Corporate Actions Data Management function, including the establishment of workflows, governance frameworks, and quality assurance processes.
  • Monitor corporate actions and market data events (e.g., dividends, mergers, splits, spin‑offs) to ensure accurate data processing and avoid disruptions to downstream systems.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to automate corporate actions workflows and enhance data pipelines.
  • Develop and implement controls to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of corporate actions data across all asset classes, including equities, fixed income, and derivatives.
  • Partner with external data vendors (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Markit, ICE) to optimize corporate actions data feeds and resolve discrepancies.
  • Establish metrics and reporting frameworks to monitor the quality and timeliness of corporate actions data.
Strategic Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance data management processes, particularly in the areas of corporate actions and reference data.
  • Work closely with Development teams to implement systems and tools that support automation and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Operations, Compliance, and Technology to ensure data processes align with downstream application requirements.
Qualifications/Skills Required
  • 7+ years of experience in financial services, ideally in operations at a broker‑dealer or asset management firm with some experience in Security Master / Reference Data / Corporate Actions.
  • Strong knowledge of financial instruments including equities, fixed income and derivatives.
  • Experience working with Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Markit (S & P Global), ICE and other data vendors.
  • Ability to implement and maintain new systems, procedures, and controls.
  • Solid understanding of basic SQL queries, proficient MS Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience supporting senior stakeholders.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and work well with a team environment.
  • Self‑directed, diligent problem solver with a desire to contribute to Millennium’s reputation and success.
