A successful trading team is looking for an Operations/Execution Analyst to join their team on an initial contract basis.
Responsibilities
- Support daily trade execution across multiple asset classes, with a particular focus on delta one products (e.g. equity swaps, index futures, ETFs and baskets), ensuring timely and accurate booking of trades.
- Monitor orders, fills, and position records in delta one and related products, resolving discrepancies and escalating issues to traders as needed.
- Produce and verify P & L, risk, and exposure reports for delta one books, highlighting anomalies or operational risks to the trading team.
- Use programming and analytical tools to reconcile data, build simple tools, and enhance trading/operations efficiency for delta one strategies.
- Track market events, corporate actions, and index/ETF changes that may affect delta one positions, ensuring accurate reflection in systems.
Background
- Degree in finance, economics, maths, physics, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Strong interest in business and markets and economics.
- Prior internship/grad scheme experience beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in mathematics.
- Proficiency in software programming.
- Familiarity with financial markets, derivatives, and options (a plus but not required).
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
