We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our team. The successful candidate will support patients with their daily needs, ensuring comfort, dignity, and high-quality care in line with UK healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and toileting
  • Support mobility and help patients move safely
  • Monitor and record vital signs (e.g., temperature, pulse, respiration)
  • Assist with feeding and hydration where required
  • Maintain accurate patient records and report changes to senior staff
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
  • Follow infection control and health & safety guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or in a care setting (preferred)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable nature
  • Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Basic understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality
  • Need Enhanced DBS Certificate
  • Need Care Certificate

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working in care homes
  • Manual handling training
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training
  • Knowledge of person-centred care
