We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our team. The successful candidate will support patients with their daily needs, ensuring comfort, dignity, and high-quality care in line with UK healthcare standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and toileting
- Support mobility and help patients move safely
- Monitor and record vital signs (e.g., temperature, pulse, respiration)
- Assist with feeding and hydration where required
- Maintain accurate patient records and report changes to senior staff
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
- Follow infection control and health & safety guidelines
- Work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or in a care setting (preferred)
- Right to work in the UK
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable nature
- Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends
- Basic understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality
- Need Enhanced DBS Certificate
- Need Care Certificate
Desirable Skills
- Experience working in care homes
