We are seeking a Developer to join one of Millennium’s long standing & successful Trading teams, currently comprising of 18. This role will design, develop and support a strategic set of applications for data collection, analytics and trading for this systematic team.
Principal Responsibilities
- Work directly with PMs, traders and quants to support and enhance system
- Load data from multiple external and internal sources
- Build monitoring system to proactively spot any data issues
- Create APIs for the business to access data
- Develop streaming analytics and real-time monitoring
- Develop testing framework
- Continual improvement of existing codebase
Main technologies: KDB+/Q, Git, Gradle, Linux.
Qualifications/Skills Required
- Master or Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related area
- Knowledge of Q/KDB+ is an advantage
- Familiarity with Linux is preferred
- Quick learner, Detail oriented; Demonstrable thoroughness and strong ownership of work
- Good team player with a strong willingness to participate and help others
- Able to prioritize in a fast moving, high pressure, constantly changing environment; High sense of urgency
- Strong communication skills
