We are seeking a Product Manager to work closely with our AI Engineering Lead, to drive the strategic development and adoption of AI-enabled workflows across the Fundamental Equities investment process. This role sits at the intersection of AI/ML, portfolio management, and product development, requiring enough technical depth to work with AI practitioners and vendors, and strong investment acumen to turn AI capabilities into tangible improvements in research quality, speed, and PM decision-making. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering AI-enabled tools and use cases that directly support fundamental Long/Short investing – from idea generation and research to risk management and portfolio construction. This position requires a deep understanding of fundamental equity research workflows and the ability to translate complex AI concepts into intuitive, high-value products for investors.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as primary liaison between AI/engineering teams and Fundamental Equities L/S PMs and analysts to identify, refine, and prioritize AI use cases across the research and portfolio management lifecycle.
- Define product vision, roadmaps, and detailed requirements for AI-enabled PM and analyst tools (e.g., research copilots, document intelligence, signal discovery, workflow automation).
- Oversee design, delivery, and integration of AI solutions into existing PM tools, research platforms, and data environments to ensure seamless day-to-day use by investment teams.
- Develop and maintain clear, PM-facing documentation and guidance for AI tools, including use cases, limitations, evaluation frameworks, and best practices.
- Lead end-user trainings, demos, and feedback sessions with PMs and analysts to drive adoption, collect insights, and continuously improve product fit.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging AI techniques relevant to fundamental equity Long/Short investing, and translate findings into a forward-looking product pipeline.
Qualifications
- 3+ years working with AI, ML, or advanced analytics solutions in investment or financial services contexts.
- 2+ years of product management or closely related product ownership experience.
- Strong understanding of fundamental equity investing and the day-to-day research workflows of Long/Short PMs and analysts (idea generation, modeling, risk management, portfolio construction, and monitoring).
- Experience working directly with fundamental equity investment professionals and demonstrating the impact of tools/technology on their investment process.
- Ability to engage in technical discussions with AI/engineering teams (e.g., LLMs, model evaluation, data quality) and distill those concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to senior investment leadership and running hands-on sessions with PMs and analysts.
- Strong problem-solving and product thinking skills, with a track record of turning loosely defined investment problems into shipped, adopted solutions.
- Experience or strong interest in scaling AI capabilities across an enterprise PM and research tools ecosystem.
