Commodities Portfolio Pricing & Valuations Specialist

Position Overview:
The successful candidate will join the global Commodities Portfolio Pricing and Valuations team to lead pricing and valuations efforts in the EMEA region. The role involves developing and maintaining a cutting-edge real-time pricing, risk, and P&L platform for commodities, analyzing and implementing new pricing models, and ensuring data integrity. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to enhance pricing methodologies, portfolio valuation, and system workflows.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a best-in-class real-time pricing, risk, and P&L platform for commodities.
- Design, analyze, and productionize new pricing models; present proposals to senior stakeholders.
- Manage data and system workflows; implement controls to ensure the integrity of real-time P&L and risk data.
- Support pricing and portfolio valuation queries from Portfolio Managers, including reviewing curve construction, interpolation methods, and market data quality.
- Improve intraday/EOD marking and P&L explanation methodologies.
- Represent the Pricing and Valuation team in business development, analytics, market data, or technology projects.
- Collaborate with Portfolio Managers, Quant Research, Risk, Middle Office, Operations, and Technology/Data teams to advance real-time pricing and valuation frameworks.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor\βs degree in Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in trading, structuring, quant risk, or related roles covering commodities; knowledge of European power and gas is advantageous.
- Experience with pricing and modeling physical and/or derivative commodity products; strong understanding of market risk fundamentals.
- Knowledge of non-linear/option products is a plus.
- Understanding of Fair Value and derivative recognition concepts.
- Endur/ETRM knowledge is beneficial but not essential.
- Solid understanding of trade lifecycle, system, and data flows.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and deliver effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively in a global team.
