Are you passionate about food and can multi‑task through a shift? As our Sous Chef, you'll be a confident chef capable of running the kitchen alongside the Head Chef while supporting and coaching junior team members. Always ready to hit the ground running while enjoying the fast pace of the kitchen, consistently producing top quality dishes under pressure. We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our experienced and hard‑working team in line with business needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead by example to all junior chefs in all elements of food preparation and service, with a flair and passion for food.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Health and Food Safety legislation, including HACCP, ensuring all necessary checks are completed throughout the kitchen.
- Run service in the absence of the Head Chef, promoting teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- Ensure dishes meet agreed standards and brand expectations, create Dish Recipe Cards, and make allergen information readily available.
- Secure and store food items safely, keep stocks replenished to minimise waste, and ensure kitchen equipment and environment are hygienic and operational.
