Copthorne hotel Slough-Windsor is looking for a Shift Engineer who is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of all hotel engineering services. This role involves carrying out both reactive and planned preventative maintenance, with a strong focus on electrical systems and catering equipment, to maintain a high standard of comfort, safety, and service for guests and colleagues.
Key Information
- Salary: Up to £23,495.29 p.a.
- Hours of work: 35 hrs weekly
Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day routine and preventative maintenance within the hotel rooms
- Respond promptly and efficiently to any maintenance calls that arise
- Assist in the implementation of energy conservation program
- Execute the preventative maintenance schedule and ensure all equipment and designated areas are maintained to the required standard
- Keep your technical training knowledge and skills up to date
- Maintain all tools, equipment, and working areas in good condition

Qualifications
- Demonstrate strong electrical knowledge, including RCDs, MCBs, and replacement of electrical circuit boards
- Maintain and repair the electrical components of catering equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical faults efficiently, ensuring safety and compliance at all times
- Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance across the hotel, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
- Conduct routine inspections of all plant, equipment, and systems during shifts
- Manage and implement preventive maintenance programmes (Copcare) to uphold operational standards
- Carry out defect rectifications and attend to maintenance requests promptly
