If you want to be part of our 4-star property at the amazing location of Knightsbridge, do not miss the exciting opportunity we currently have at The Millennium Hotel London Knightsbridge for an experienced Groups and Meetings Executive. The purpose of this role is to assist in the daily running of the Sales department, ensuring that all M&C procedures and targets are met.
Shift pattern: 5 days out of 7
Duration: 40 hours per week
Key responsibilities as a Groups and Meetings Executive:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with MICE agents, travel advisors, corporate bookers, and event planners
- Identify, manage, negotiate, and convert group and MICE opportunities
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with key partners to strengthen relationships and identify repeat opportunities
- Re-engage past group bookers and previous MICE clients to generate repeat business
- Conduct client site inspections and hotel show rounds to promote the hotel's meeting and event facilities and drive conversion
- Take full ownership of group bookings (with or without events), including planning, preparation of event BEOs, and bedroom allocations
- Use Delphi and Opera to block event space and bedrooms, create BEOs, raise invoices, input rooming lists, and track deposits and payments to ensure accuracy of business on the books and maximise revenue opportunities
- Develop customer accounts and travel within the local area, where required, to drive business into the hotel and increase market share across all revenue streams
- Prepare company contracts in accordance with current business and pricing conditions, ensuring all terms are clearly communicated and agreed
- Provide customers with detailed and accurate quotations and cost calculations in a timely manner
- Collaborate closely with all hotel departments to ensure seamless event execution and deliver an exceptional guest experience
- Attend sales events and networking functions as required
- Conduct post-event follow-up, obtain client feedback, and identify opportunities for future business
- Produce accurate and timely reports for the Assistant Director of Sales and senior management, including appointments, calls made, business leads, and group pipeline updates
- Respond to customer queries promptly and professionally at all stages of the booking process
Requirement and Skills:
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a sales or groups & events role within the hospitality industry, with a proven track record of converting enquiries
- Positive attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
- Excellent grooming and professional presentation standards
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations, including client visits and event days
- Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Good knowledge of the local market
- Strong understanding of the hospitality industry
- Passion for sales and achieving targets and objectives
