We are seeking a Receptionist/Switchboard Agent who will be responsible for professionally welcoming and providing efficient service during check-in, check-out, and throughout the guest's stay. Act as the primary communication hub by routing internal and external calls, while proactively resolving guest requests in line with hotel standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer calls in an effective and helpful manner, ensuring that all calls are directed to the correct department or extension.
  • Ensure that all faxes and messages are recorded accurately, and that they are delivered to the guest by the relevant department quickly and efficiently.
  • Co-ordinate information with reception to ensure that airline wake-up calls are received on time, as well as wake-up calls for other guests.
  • Ensure that all telephone charges are posted correctly and balanced each day.
  • Assist staff and guests with telephone enquiries.
  • Record staff external telephone calls.
  • Be responsible for the opening and closing of telephone lines for conferences.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and the ability to communicate across all levels of an organization.
  • Confident individual who is adept at prioritising and managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to take the initiative and deal with unexpected situations and last-minute changes.
