The Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington is seeking a Casual Receptionist who will be responsible for:

  • Accurately register guests into the hotel and manage check‑outs, maintaining records of transactions for the live system, and handling audit scenarios when the system is down.
  • Efficiently respond to any guest enquiries and communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors.
  • Assist the Shift Leader by undertaking miscellaneous tasks such as checking market codes, passport numbers and nationality.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that guests’ first impressions are courteous and professional.
  • Be fully competent with the hotel computer system, applying knowledge appropriately to meet guest requirements.
  • Have full knowledge of hotel room rates and policies, and actively contribute to revenue generation.
  • Process non‑arrival reservations, researching bookings to ensure accuracy.
  • Be familiar with the hotel door key system, accurately issue keys, cancel them when necessary, and liaise with security for guest access issues.

Requirements

  • Experience with Opera Cloud / Opera preferred
  • Confidence in guest interactions
  • Large‑scale hotel experience is advantageous
