Responsibilities

  • To assist in ensuring that function rooms are set up at least one hour before each event and according to the banquet order.
  • To be present on the client's arrival, welcome them, and help check what their needs are.
  • To oversee, help, and observe waiting staff to ensure standards are maintained at all times.
  • To ensure that menu briefings and relevant function details are given to all casual staff before food service.
  • Close liaison with the Operations Manager and Chef regarding all food-related issues, particularly changes in numbers and times.
  • To ensure attention to detail relating to the functions and any changes to be reported to the relevant Event Planner.
  • To remain in continuous contact with the organiser during an event and react quickly to any changes which may occur.
  • To ensure that all service areas are kept clean and tidy and fire exits and corridors are clear.
  • To assist in preparing a monthly maintenance checklist for all function rooms for submission to the Maintenance Department.
