As a Chef de Partie, you are a confident chef capable of running your own section in the kitchen whilst simultaneously supporting the more junior team members. Always ready to ‘hit the ground running' whilst enjoying the fast pace of the kitchen, consistently producing top quality dishes under pressure. We are happy to develop and train any capable and willing Head Chefs of the future! In return, we ask for your full concentration and commitment to delivering high quality products to our guests at all times.
We are looking for a Chef de Partie to join our experienced and hard‑working colleagues on a part time basis (30 hours over three days) that would be happy to work as part of the team. An excellent opportunity for a Chef looking for better work/life balance (more hours per shift but less days to work per week!)
Responsibilities of a Chef de Partie:
- Having a flair and passion for food, leading by example to all junior chefs in all elements of food preparation and service.
- Maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge in all government Health and Food Safety legislation including HACCP, ensuring all necessary checks are completed throughout the kitchen (both quality and safety checks).
- Displaying the right temperament to successfully run service in the absence of Senior Chefs, promoting teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- Ensuring our dishes are always at their best & to the standards as agreed with the team but in line with brand expectations, preparing "Dish Recipe Cards" and ensuring all Allergen information is readily available.
- Making sure food items are secure and stored safely - keeping stocks replenished to minimise waste and ensuring that all kitchen equipment and environment are hygienic and working properly.
Salary: £20,217.60 per annum based on 3 x 10 hour shifts per week.
