An exciting opportunity has become available at Copthorne Hotel Newcastle for a Casual Food & Beverage Assistant position. Our Food & Beverage Assistant will help the hotel to continue to deliver great service to our guests in the bar, restaurant and functions area.

Responsibilities

  • Service of food & beverage products in the bar, restaurant and function area
  • Understand and communicate effectively the menu and all products available to customers
  • Deal with all payment transactions (cash, card, room charging) according to company guidelines
  • Provide a warm and welcoming service, ensuring queries or requirements are dealt with accordingly

Qualifications

  • Experience in a food & beverage position
  • Great customer service skills
  • Ability to work under pressure as part of a team and maintain a professional approach
  • Experience working with payments
  • Experience with Micros would be an advantage
  • Flexible to cover various shifts over the festive season including weekend party events
