The Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington is looking for a Guest Relations Executive who can ensure the highest possible standards of service excellence and hospitality are extended to all guests at all times, maximizing revenue opportunities while maintaining legal requirements and company standards. The role involves ensuring all VIP guests are looked after prior to, throughout, and after their stay.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Accurately register guests into the hotel and check guests out.
  • Efficiently respond to any guest enquiries and communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors.
  • Provide a friendly and personable service to hotel guests at all times.
  • Be fully cognisant with the hotel computer system and apply knowledge according to guest requirements.
  • Have full knowledge of hotel room rates and policies, actively earning revenue for the hotel.
  • Be familiar with reservation procedures and apply standards accurately and consistently.
  • Understand the hotel door key system, issuing keys accurately and liaising with security if guests have problems accessing rooms.
  • Be aware of the hotel’s procedures and policies for VIP guests, late arrivals, and cancelled reservations.
  • Understand the billing/accounting cycle for guest bills and ensure all accounts processed meet required standards.
  • Be responsible for cash float issued, maintaining appropriate denominations and reporting discrepancies immediately.
  • Assist the team by being punctual to work according to schedules.
  • Have full knowledge of any special offers or promotions affecting the hotel.
  • Report faulty equipment immediately.
  • Actively participate in interdepartmental liaison to build rapport and communication.
  • Contribute to team morale and spirit.
  • Attend departmental and hotel meetings as required.
  • Participate in handover.
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks as requested by hotel management.
