The Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington is seeking a Casual Receptionist who will be responsible for:
- Accurately registering guests into the hotel and checking guests out, making provisions for when the system is down for audit, maintaining records of transactions to be posted onto the live system.
- Efficiently responding to any guest enquiries and communicating effectively with colleagues and superiors.
- Assisting the Shift Leader by undertaking miscellaneous additional tasks, such as checking market codes, passport numbers, and nationality.
- Providing excellent customer service by ensuring that guests' first impressions are of a courteous and professional Reception team.
- Being fully cognisant with the hotel computer system and applying the knowledge in the most appropriate manner according to guest requirements.
- Having full knowledge of hotel room rates and policies as applied to guests, and actively earning revenue for the hotel.
- Processing non-arrival reservations, researching the booking to ensure accuracy in all respects.
- Being familiar with the hotel door key system, issuing keys accurately to guests, ensuring keys are cancelled where necessary, and liaising with Security if guests have problems accessing rooms.

- Experience with Opera Cloud/Opera preferred.
- Confidence in guest interactions.
