We’re currently seeking a Junior Payroll Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day functioning of the Payroll Department and ensure that all tasks are completed within the agreed‑upon deadlines. Supporting the UK‑based hotels with payroll reconciliation and costing and serving as a point of escalation for any queries. Our Junior Payroll Manager will also assist with the training and development of the Payroll Team, both centrally and within hotels, to ensure a smooth, efficient payroll process. Key Responsibilities
- Complete the administration and input of the Central Corporate Payroll.
- Oversee the monthly payroll process and ensure that all data is being correctly uploaded into Payroll.
- Understand what the payroll systems are doing and have the confidence to challenge why and to take action on any resolutions.
- Act as a point of escalation to manage the queries raised by hotels for the ADP helpdesk.
- Ensure that payrolls are completed and approved in line with the monthly schedule.
- Ensure that all pension contributions are reported to relevant provider, including ensuring compliance with auto‑enrolment responsibilities.
- Deputise for Payroll Pension & Benefits Manager in their absence.
- Assist with the reconciliation of annual PAYE figures.
Qualifications
- In‑depth understanding of current Payroll Legislation and all statutory payments.
- Minimum of 5 years end‑to‑end payroll experience.
- Understanding of National Minimum Wage and the effects of salary‑sacrifice arrangements; understanding of Auto‑Enrolment legislation and the different types of pension scheme.
- CIPP level 3 minimum qualification.
- Strong organisation skills and excellent eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills both verbally and written.
