Millennium Hotels UK are looking for a Head of Safety, Security, Health and Environment to oversee our UK hotels. As the Head of SSHE, you will play a critical role in creating a safe work environment and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. You will also prepare and implement systems/processes, and continually improve the safety culture, driving change across the project and operational teams.
Head of SSHE key responsibilities:
- Lead the safety culture agenda across our UK Hotels.
- Manage major changes in legislation to limit and eradicate risk in relation to all aspects of safety.
- Ensure there is a deliverable plan for crisis management, ensuring continuity in the event of any issues to mitigate danger and reduce risk to guest and team welfare.
- Provide guidance to the Executive team and take responsibility for all risk and compliance subjects, including ownership of the corporate risk register.
- Deliver robust and fully accredited procedures that ensure legal compliance and insurance requirements are met.
- Remain on top of all legislative requirements and influence stakeholders to implement practices to keep the business compliant.
- Drive high standards and continuous improvement within restaurants and head office to ensure the business maintains the highest of standards and breeds the best practice culture towards risk.
Head of SSHE essential Skills:
- Multi-site or Group level experience of Health and Safety management in the hospitality sector.
- Chartered safety practitioner or equivalent.
- Expert-level knowledge of Allergens and risk mitigation.
- Significant experience in risk & compliance in a multi-site business.
- Significant experience of health and safety legislation.
- Experience of working with the EHO.
- Advanced knowledge of fire regulations.
- Advanced knowledge of creating crisis management procedures.
