The Copthorne Hotel Newcastle is seeking an experienced Senior Chef de Partie to join our Senior Kitchen team and help support the team in delivering a high standard of food.
What are we expecting from a Senior Chef de Partie?
- Supporting the Kitchen team, ensuring they have the skills required to deliver an excellent standard of food.
- Preparing all dishes as instructed by Head Chef and/or Senior Sous Chef.
- Supporting the Kitchen Senior Management team in planning menus within cost targets.
- Controlling food costs and achieving gross profit targets (including monitoring waste).
- Ensuring processes are in place to achieve high standards of cleanliness, consistently.
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety requirements.
What we are looking for
- Proven track record as a Senior Chef de Partie/Chef de Partie within a quality hotel.
- Ability to lead and effectively supervise the kitchen team.
- High standards of hygiene and Health & Safety controls.
- Knowledge of computerised ordering system.
- Enthusiastic and motivated with an eye for detail and accuracy.
- The ability to work 5 shifts out of 7 on a rota basis, weekend work is included.
