The Millennium Hotel London Knightsbridge is looking for an experienced Public Area Attendant. The role assists in the daily running of the Housekeeping department, ensuring all M & C procedures and targets are met.
Key responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain all public areas including lobbies, corridors, elevators, stairwells, restrooms, and back‑of‑house areas.
- Ensure all surfaces, furniture, and fixtures are dust‑free, polished, and well‑presented.
- Vacuum, mop, and sweep floors according to schedule and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of entrance areas and ensure they are presentable at all times.
- Respond politely and professionally to guest requests or directions.
- Report any guest concerns or issues promptly to supervisors.
- Follow hotel health, safety, and hygiene procedures at all times.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly.
- Report hazards, maintenance issues, or damaged equipment immediately.
- Replenish public area supplies such as toiletries, tissues, and sanitizing materials.
- Assist with deep‑cleaning projects as scheduled.
- Support housekeeping team with additional duties when required.
- Report lost property according to hotel procedures.
- Inform supervisors of any maintenance defects or cleaning challenges.
Essential skills required:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles within a hotel or similar environment.
- Understanding of cleaning standards and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
