The purpose of this role is to assist in the daily running of the Reservations department, ensuring that all M&C procedures and targets are met.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily reservations operations to ensure prompt, efficient, and courteous service
- Manage all incoming reservation enquiries via phone, email, and online platforms
- Accurately process new bookings, amendments, and cancellations in the Property Management System (PMS)
- Ensure all reservations include complete guest details, payment information, and special requests
- Monitor room availability daily to ensure optimal occupancy
- Maintain strong knowledge of hotel rooms, rates, promotions, amenities, programs, and services at all times
- Communicate effectively within the department regarding promotional activities (including F&B and in-room promotions) to support revenue goals
- Update no-shows and cancellations accurately and promptly to avoid unnecessary commission charges
- Verify that all reservations are processed accurately and in line with hotel standards without delay
- Resolve customer complaints professionally and escalate where necessary
- Coordinate closely with Front Office, Revenue, and Sales teams to ensure operational alignment
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and system updates as required by management
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, data protection, PCI regulations and payment security standards
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Opera Cloud (preferred)
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette
