Millennium Gloucester Hotel London Kensington is seeking an Electrician who will be responsible for all electrical systems in the hotel and also to be involved with the checking and servicing of the planned, preventative maintenance of all systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance to plant, control panels, distribution boards, and guest bedrooms.
  • Administer the portable appliance testing throughout the complex and ensure all test results are recorded and hard copies kept when requested.
  • Assist or carry out any electrical testing the plant engineer requires.
  • Carry out regular testing of the generator as laid down in the service manual.
  • Ensure that all electrical distribution boards circuits are correctly labelled; amendments signed by the originator. All systems to be kept clean.
  • Be aware of any scheduled works to be carried out by contractors. Check the standard of workmanship and liaise with the Shift Engineer, Maintenance Manager, or Chief Engineer regarding authorisation of timesheets.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and the ability to communicate across all levels of an organization.
  • At least 3-5 years of practical experience in electrical installation and maintenance is typically required.
  • Confident individual who is adept in prioritising and managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to take the initiative and deal with unexpected situations and last minute changes.
  • Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential data.

  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, proactive, resourceful with excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills with customers and other hotel departments.
