We are hiring a Systems Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical) to work in Stafford, VA. Candidate must have an active Secret clearance to be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering analysis, with a focus on mechanical and electrical systems to address product issues and identify technical risks.
  • Review, analyze, develop, and comment on electrical engineering documentation (e.g., Specifications, Interface Control Documents, Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), Test Plans/Reports, Engineering Analyses).
  • Review, assess, and develop updates to electrical engineering processes (e.g., Configuration Management, ECPs, and technical reviews) and ensure they align with PM AAA processes.
  • Assist Senior Leadership by analyzing key documents provided by the vehicle contractor, making critical recommendations, and preparing white papers summarising findings.
  • Provide guidance and direction on matters related to project scope, requirements, and funding.
  • Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, including participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support, and proposal colour reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience in providing engineering support to a defence acquisition programme.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience reviewing and developing engineering design changes, conducting technical analyses, and reporting findings.
  • Proficiency in developing and commenting on various engineering documents (Specifications, ICDs, ECPs, Test Plans/Reports, Engineering Analyses, etc.).
  • Familiarity with the latest Engineering Standards for systems engineering, engineering technical data packages, and engineering drawing standards.
  • Active Secret security clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.
