Millennium Hotels and Resorts UK are looking for a Regional SHE Manager, who would drive the company’s commitment to safety and compliance ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations from Corporate HSE and UK requirements fostering a proactive safety culture.
The role provides technical support to Senior Management and supports UK Hotels to implement, drive and monitor all Corporate safety requirements whilst ensuring compliance with all UK legislative requirements and accreditations.
Key Responsibilities
- To lead on SHE engagement with hotel management and supervisors, highlighting their relative roles and responsibilities and facilitating effective SHE through training, implementation, audit and feedback mechanisms
- To act as primary point of contact for a designated cluster of hotels with regard to any interaction with enforcement or external SHE authorities, including RIDDOR reporting, EHO and fire visits.
- To support in the development of region wide SHE training materials, undertaking practical delivery of those training materials.
- To support the implementation and maintenance of SHE management systems, ensuring hotel discipline in application of those systems in order to promote continuous improvement across the group as well as to gain or preserve any relevant certification.
- To provide technical support through planned improvement activities as well as in responding to ad-hoc support requests relating to SHE matters.
- To act as the primary point of contact for your designated cluster of hotels within with regard to any relevant security event or issue, and to ensure that measures afforded for the purpose of personal and property security are adequately maintained
Qualifications/Experience
- 5+ years of experience in HSE management within the industry.
- NEBOSH diploma qualified – essential.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards.
- Knowledgeable of required ISO accreditations audit processes and requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve HSE goals.
- Proven track record of successfully managing HSE programs and initiatives.
