The Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington is seeking a Luggage Porter who will be responsible for assisting arriving guests with their luggage, escorting them to their rooms; assists departing guests with luggage and transportation requirements, to follow-up on miscellaneous guest requests or requirements, to assist the Concierge on duty as necessary in providing guest services.

The Luggage Porter Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Describe all hotel services to guests; provide other information as may be required; follows up on information requested if not known.
  • Page guests as required, deliver messages, packages or other items to guestrooms or other areas of the hotel as required.
  • Assist departing guests with their luggage and transportation arrangements, by picking up luggage from guest rooms, and checking it, or bringing it to the entrance, loading it in the taxi/car, etc, as required by the guest.
  • Assist the Concierge on duty as required by answering the telephone, taking messages, providing information, etc as required by the guest.
  • Perform any reasonable task as required by Concierge on duty to provide maximum guest service.
  • Handle luggage for tour group check-ins in accordance with established procedures and to include use of exit by the luggage room.

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and the ability to communicate across all levels of an organization.
  • Confident individual who is adept in prioritising and managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to take the initiative and deal with unexpected situations and last minute changes.
  • Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential data.
