Are you a ‘jack-of-all-trades’ and like completing a variety of different tasks each day on the job? Would you consider yourself a proactive ‘all-rounder’ in maintenance who is good at troubleshooting and fixing things, with the relevant qualifications to boot? Hard Days Night hotel is looking for a self-motivated, people-orientated worker to join their team of professionals – it would suit an individual who is already working in a similar maintenance role in a similar sized property. We believe every member of our team plays a vital role in our success, which is why we go out of our way to provide a safe and healthy environment where your opinion always matters.

Responsibilities of an Assistant Maintenance Manager:

  • You must be positive, efficient and motivated with a friendly approach and a good eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to develop good working relationships with other departments in the hotel.
  • Communicate effectively and be customer focused.
  • Work independently using initiative with minimal direction from the Maintenance Manager.
  • Assist in planned reactive and preventative maintenance schedule when requested.
  • Complete utility readings at required times daily.
  • Work safely at all times, conforming to statutory and company health and safety regulations.
  • Comply with other related regulations (e.g. COSHH).
  • Assist in the upkeep of hotel areas ensuring they are free from daily wear and tear as far as possible.
  • General painting and decorating and refurbishment works as required.
  • A positive approach to flexible working will be expected.
  • Participate in the out of hours ‘On Call’ rota.
  • Being fully qualified as an electrician and/or plumber is preferable.

Housed in the magnificent Grade II listed Central Buildings, dating back to 1884, the beautifully restored boutique hotel is steeped in history. The Beatles-inspired hotel features elegantly furnished and individually decorated rooms with specially commissioned artwork. The hotel has one restaurant and two bars, one of which hosts some of the city’s top acoustic musicians every Friday and Saturday night.
