The Millennium Hotel Glasgow is seeking an experienced Night Manager who will be responsible for the smooth operation of the hotel during the night to ensure high standards of guest satisfaction are achieved consistently.

As Night Manager, key responsibilities include:

  • Receiving a hand-over from the Duty Manager and ensuring that all aspects of night service are dealt with in an efficient and effective manner, under your supervision
  • Providing a warm welcome to guests on arrival at check-in and dealing with guest enquiries and resolving queries effectively
  • Ensuring that guest billing is accurate on check-out and payment is received on departure complying with hotel procedures
  • Ensuring the night audit function is completed accurately on a timely basis
  • Ensuring all entrances to the hotel and car park are locked at an appropriate time and full night security measures are followed for the safety of staff and guests. This includes all hotel emergency/fire evacuation procedures complying with Health & Safety requirements
  • Communicating effectively with the Front Office Manager and wider hotel team

  • Night audit experience
  • Management/supervisory experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience of using a Front Office Management system, e.g., Opera
  • Local area knowledge
  • Ability to work on a rota basis, including weekends, with a 4 on 4 off shift pattern
