The Copthorne Hotel Manchester is seeking an experienced Receptionist to provide a warm welcome, helpful and efficient service to guests.
Responsibilities Providing a friendly and efficient service to guests at all times ensuring company policy and procedures are complied with at all times.
Providing accurate shift handovers ensuring all items requiring attention are detailed in handover diary and the shift checklist is completed to required standard.
Carry out float checks and handle all cash transactions accurately throughout the shift including the issue/use of safety deposit boxes.
Being aware of special promotions operating in the hotel, ensuring they are offered to maximise occupancy/revenue.
Ensuring all information is communicated to the relevant department in the interest of providing excellent customer service including being aware of specific daily functions/events, in order to deal with enquiries efficiently and effectively.
To be fully aware of and understand Fire, Bomb, Health and Safety and emergency procedures.
Qualifications Previous experience in a quality hotel.
Excellent communication skills.
A positive, ‘can do’ attitude.
The ability to work well under pressure.
Excellent customer service skills.
Experience of using a Front Office Management system, e. g., Opera.
Ability to work as and when required, including weekend work.
