Part time - Maternity Cover: 18 hours one week, 22 hours the next week
Role Overview
As a Housekeeper, you will provide cleaning services within the home in accordance with agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations and in line with best practices. You will maintain your skills and undertake such training and development as required.
Role Specific Duties
- Assist in the assessment of the effectiveness of cleaning implementation and delivery
- Implement action to meet and maintain cleaning standards ensuring that all rooms and communal areas of the home are clean, tidy and presented to the highest standards at all times
- Evaluate standards of cleaning competence and liaise with the Head Housekeeper if concerns arise
- Ensure that all residents and their families feel at home, in a clean and tidy environment
- Ensure that the cleaning trolley is well stocked at all times
- Protect residents’ rights
- Promote and protect the welfare of residents
- Contribute to the efficient running of the home at all times
Working with Others
- Develop effective working relationships with other employees and support and develop new and less experienced members of the team
- Attend and participate in team meetings
- Maintain and develop relationships with residents, their families, friends and other visitors to create a nurturing environment
- Ensure health and safety for yourself and others in the home in accordance with regulations and promptly report hazards
- Work under pressure while remaining flexible and consistent

- Pursue opportunities for professional and personal growth and development
- Be a role model for teammates and an ambassador for the service
- Be professional, polite and reasonable at all times
- Provide a warm welcome to new residents, team members and visitors and familiarize them with the home

- Attend statutory training and any other training as directed while remaining open to learning opportunities
- Have a good understanding of dementia and its impact on residents
- Have a basic knowledge of CQC and fundamental standards
- Adhere to all of Millennium Care UK Ltd.’s Policies and Procedures
