Full Time Permanent 36 hours per week
Role Overview:
Provide cleaning services within the home in accordance with agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations and in line with best practices. Maintain skills and undertake required training and development. We’re looking for a warm and outgoing Domestic Assistant to join the team at Langtree Care Home.
Responsibilities:
- Assess effectiveness of cleaning implementation and delivery.
- Implement actions to meet and maintain cleaning standards, ensuring all rooms and communal areas are clean, tidy and presented to the highest standards at all times.
- Evaluate standards of cleaning competence and liaise with the Head Housekeeper regarding concerns.
- Ensure residents and their families feel at home in a clean and tidy environment.
- Keep cleaning trolley well stocked at all times.
- Protect residents' rights and promote their welfare.
- Contribute to the efficient running of the home.
- Develop effective working relationships with other employees and support new and less experienced members of the team.
- Attend and participate in team meetings.
- Maintain relationships with residents, families, friends and visitors, creating a nurturing environment.
- Ensure personal and others’ health and safety in accordance with regulations, promptly reporting hazards.
- Work under pressure while remaining flexible and consistent.
- Seek opportunities for professional and personal growth and development.
- Act as a role model and ambassador for the service, providing a warm welcome to new residents, team members and visitors.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, cooperation and excellent attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- Attend statutory training and other training as directed.
- Understanding of dementia and its impact on residents.
- Basic knowledge of CQC and fundamental standards.
- Adherence to all of Millennium Care UK Ltd.’s Policies and Procedures.
Salary & Benefits: £13.45 per hour. Complimentary meals, drinks and snacks throughout shift.
