Full Time, permanent, 33.75 hours per week. We’re on the lookout for a Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Lavender Hills Care Home, nestled in the Rossendale Valley.
Responsibilities
- Provide the highest level of personal care and attention to residents, following individual care plans carefully and ensuring that all contact is polite, friendly, warm, and supportive.
- Participate in the formulation and maintenance of individual care plans for each resident and administer medication to residents as prescribed, accurately maintaining appropriate records for both.
- Provide leadership to the care staff.
- Ensure that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service and supervise staff you support.
- Ensure the health and well-being of all staff working within the home.
- Develop effective working relationships with other employees.
- Work in cooperation with members of the multi-disciplinary team.
- Liaise with other care professionals relating to the care needs of the residents.
- Maintain skills at a current level, and undertake training and development as may and when required.
- Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth.

- Be a role model for other members of the team and be an ambassador for the service whilst leading and mentoring the team to build strong relationships.
- Be professional, polite and reasonable at all times.
- Provide a warm welcome to all new residents, team members and all visitors and to familiarise them with the home.
Personal and Professional Development
- Attend statutory training and any other training as directed while being open to learning opportunities.
- Have a good understanding of dementia and how it affects those living with the disease.
- Have a basic knowledge of CQC and the fundamental standards.
- Adhere to all of Millennium Care UK Ltd.’s policies and procedures.
