Domestic Assistant - Lavender Hills

Overview

We’re seeking an individual to organise and provide leadership to the domestic cleaning functions of Lavender Hills Care Home. This is a permanent, full-time role with 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the assessment of the effectiveness of cleaning implementation and delivery.
• To supervise the cleaning and laundry services in accordance with agreed standards.
• Implement actions to meet and maintain cleaning standards.
• Systematically solve day-to-day operational issues which arise.
• Evaluate standards of cleaning competence.
• Ensure the residents’ rights are protected.
• Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support.
• Develop effective working relationships with the other employees working in the home.
• Be involved in the implementation and maintenance of the service’s quality assurance programme.
• Cooperate with the implementation, evaluation, orientation, and induction of all new employees.
• Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth.
• Take responsibility for your own professional development through performance and development reviews and undertake any relevant training.
• To maintain housekeeping skills at a current level and undertake such training and development as may, from time to time, be required to maintain that currency of practice.
