As a Laundry Assistant, you will provide general laundry services within the home in accordance with agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations and in line with best practices.,
- Assist in the assessment of the effectiveness of laundry implementation and delivery
- Implement action to meet and maintain laundry standards, ensuring that all residents' clothing, bedding and linen are washed, dried, ironed and returned to the correct resident promptly and presented to the highest standards at all times
- To evaluate standards of laundry competence liaising with the Registered Manager if you have any concerns
- Ensure that all residents and their families feel at home, with clean, well-cared-for clothing and linen
- Ensure that the laundry room is well stocked and kept clean, tidy and organised at all times, with all equipment used correctly and any faults reported promptly
- To ensure residents' rights are protected
- To be responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of our residents
- To contribute to the efficient running of the home at all times
Working with Others
- To develop effective working relationships with other employees and support and develop new and less experienced members of the team
- To attend and participate in team meetings
- To maintain and develop relationships with the residents, their families, friends and other visitors to the home creating a nurturing environment where everyone feels loved and safe
- To be responsible for the health and safety of yourself as well as others in the home under the Health and Safety regulations whilst promptly reporting any hazards or potential hazards to the relevant person
- You will have the ability to work under pressure whilst being flexible and consistent
