We are looking for experienced Shot/Bead Blaster to join our busy and expanding business. The ideal candidate will have experience within the Structural Steel or Rail industry and be familiar with the different types of blast media. You will also need to be familiar with the maintenance aspect of the Blasting equipment. Full Time positions based at our Main Site in Derby. Hourly rate to be confirmed on application. 8.5 hour shift (0730-1630) Monday to Friday with overtime available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shot/Bead Blasting parts to customer specification.
- Reading drawings to ensure areas are masked off prior to blasting.
- Maintaining of Blasting equipment.
- Working to deadlines to achieve customer expectations.
- Reporting to senior management.
- Conforming to Quality assurance and Health & Safety standards.
- Completing the relevant documentation for each task.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Good time keeping and punctuality.
- Motivated personality with the desire to learn.
- Work independently and within a team.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to read drawings.
- Aptitude for multi-tasking.
- Quality awareness.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Shot/Bead Blasting and time served for qualifications.
