Key Responsibilities
- Manage all day to day site activities and operations.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and subcontractors on site.
- Deliver projects in line with agreed programmes and milestones.
- Attend site meetings and provide regular progress reports.
- Take full responsibility for site Health & Safety, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, company policies, RAMS, and site specific requirements.
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, inspections, and regular safety audits, promoting a positive health and safety culture across the project.
- Identify and manage risks, ensure safe systems of work are implemented, and promptly address any health and safety concerns or non-conformances.
- Monitor and inspect works to ensure quality standards are achieved.
- Maintain accurate site records, diaries, permits, and documentation.
- Coordinate all trades and disciplines to ensure works are delivered efficiently and safely.
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Assess buildability and identify practical solutions to site challenges.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure works are completed to the required standards.
- Lead site teams by example and maintain a professional, positive working environment.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Site Manager working for a main contractor.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Computer literate, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Proactive, hands-on approach with a strong attention to detail.
- A positive, "can-do" attitude and the ability to work effectively within a close knit team.
