Join our friendly Kids Club and Mini Kids team at Millbrook to help create a fun, safe and exciting environment where children can relax, play, learn and thrive before and after the school day. This role is perfect for someone energetic, caring and creative who enjoys working with children and has a passion for preparing healthy, child‑friendly food and snacks. Preparing tasty meals and snacks, you’ll play an important part in making every session enjoyable, welcoming and memorable for the children in our care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help provide a warm, caring and stimulating environment with a range of fun play, creative and social activities for children.
  • Take a leading role in planning, preparing and serving healthy, appealing food and drinks for children, encouraging positive eating habits and ensuring all meals meet dietary needs, school food standards and food hygiene regulations.
  • Create exciting nutritious snack and meal experiences that children enjoy for our after‑school.
  • Support children to develop confidence, friendships and positive behaviour through encouragement and clear boundaries.
  • Support the safe collection and handover of children at the beginning and end of sessions.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean and organised environment, ensuring equipment, food preparation areas and play spaces meet high standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Support with daily administration, registers and record keeping where required.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the wider school team and contribute ideas to help develop and improve the club.
  • Administer first aid and medication in line with school procedures where appropriate.
  • Take part in relevant training and development opportunities, including food hygiene and playwork training.
  • Build positive relationships with parents/carers, colleagues and external agencies, helping create a welcoming community atmosphere within the club.

Working Pattern

  • Tuesday: 3:00pm - 5:00pm (or 3:15pm start available)
  • Thursday: 3:00pm - 5:00pm (or 3:15pm start available)
  • Friday: 3:00pm - 5:00pm or 3:00pm - 6:00pm

Flexible start arrangements can be discussed for the right candidate.
