As a Community Equipment Technician you will be responsible for the delivery, installation and collection of community equipment within people’s homes and associated locations such as care homes, hospitals and schools across Berkshire. The role may also involve servicing, repair and minor adaptations such as installing handrails and grab rails.
Responsibilities
- Deliver, install and collect community equipment in residential and institutional settings.
- Service and repair equipment as required.
- Carry out minor adaptations (e.g. handrails, grab rails) to help users live independently.
- Adhere to a same‑day and out‑of‑hours rota, covering weekends.
- Operate company van and complete required safety and DBS checks (regulated activity).
Qualifications
- Previous relevant experience is preferable; full training will be provided.
- Full UK driving licence (minimum 2 years) with no more than 6 points.
- Ability to load and unload goods, some of which may be heavy.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Basic DIY skills are advantageous.
- Experience driving a van is beneficial.

Compensation & Benefits
- £28,090.10 annual salary.
- 42.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00.
- All tools, uniform and a company van provided for work purposes with fuel card.
- Up to 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) plus optional 5 unpaid days.
