We are looking for a Supply Chain Buyer for a 12 Month Fixed Term period.

The Supply Chain Buyer ensures continuity of supply, effective purchasing, supplier management, and accurate product and pricing data to support operational sites.

This maternity cover role is responsible for maintaining supplier relationships, supporting cost control, and ensuring procurement activities are compliant, efficient, and responsive to operational and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source products and materials, obtain supplier quotations, and support cost-effective purchasing decisions.
  • Maintain accurate product, pricing, supplier, and technical specification data within procurement systems.
  • Set up new material codes and ensure all associated data is correctly captured and maintained.
  • Action pricing queries and investigate pricing discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies in collaboration with suppliers and internal finance teams.
  • Contribute to project-based work including pricing reviews, sourcing initiatives, supplier changes, and procurement improvement projects.
  • Maintain and update catalogues, product lists, and supplier pricing files to ensure accuracy.
  • Support internal stakeholders with product availability, specification, and pricing information.
  • Assist with sourcing alternative products where required to maintain service continuity.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing roles.
  • Strong communication and supplier relationship management skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement / ERP systems.
